About our Region

Welcome to the website for the South Australia (SA) region of the Australian Alpaca Association. Here you will find information on upcoming events (including shows and educational workshops), useful alpaca resources and more! 

The SA Region covers a geographically diverse area. Members farm alpacas across many aspects of the Australian terrain.  

Within the SA Region there are over 140 registered alpaca breeders, several with larger studs in excess of 100 alpacas to others with only a few. Many members also promote and sell alpaca products.

The SA Region of the Australian Alpaca Association is here to assist you with all things alpaca. We welcome your enquiry into alpacas and have a committed team willing to provide support and advice. The strong, hard working committee are dedicated to the long-term growth of the industry and there are many members ready to share their time and experience.

There are many farms in the region open to the public, you can visit and learn more about alpacas, fleece and associated farming
